Member Update - 9 August

Fellow Seniors,

We’ve reached the half way mark in our Divisional games and the weather has again impacted heavily upon our competition.  Many clubs, particularly those in the northern region, were just starting to recover from the devastation of the May deluge when the downpour returned again last weekend.  The result being that many clubs are right back where they were a few months ago.  This resulted in many games being either rescheduled or cancelled altogether.

Opportunities to reschedule are limited; and for very good reasons.  Putting aside the understandable shortage of playable venues at this testing time, our Clubs also need to focus on their income streams and the lack of playing opportunities for their members.

There’s not much more to add at this stage other than to say that the Committee meets regularly to review the situation and to try and plan for the weeks ahead as we move from Divisional Rounds and into the Finals Series.

It’s been a year like no other, but hang in there. We’ll get through it.
