Dear Gents,
With the Pennant set to kick off on the 14th July and many clubs still recovering from the May deluge, particularly our Mid North Coast Division 9 colleagues whose communities bore the worst of the prolonged onslaught, now is a good time to touch base to see that all is in order for the start.
For your hosting day, please ensure that you are across the revised Rules and the Host Club Responsibilities. Additionally:
Check that your players are eligible and registered.
Playing order should reflect the spirit of the game (order of ability).
Pace of Play - please impress upon your players of the need to maintain an acceptable pace of play. When hosting, please monitor and where necessary intervene where slow play is an issue. Refer SSGA Rule 9.
Games Result Sheets – please complete in full, scan and email as soon as reasonably practicable following the completion of play.
Should any club have issues regarding the preparedness of their course for hosting, we ask that you get in touch with your Committee Contact (details on your Draw) without delay and appraise him of the situation and to assist in a resolution.
What we do want to impress upon everyone is that it’s all about catching up with mates in a competitive tussle and – having fun.
Committee members will endeavour to catch up with each Division during the Pennant to introduce ourselves and to seek feedback and suggestions from you and your players.
On behalf of the NSW SSGA Committee,
Leigh Brydson
Captain
